Frequently asked questions
Does converting lose quality?
Converting to WAV or FLAC keeps every sample of the decoded audio. Converting to MP3, OGG or M4A discards a little detail to make the file smaller; at 192 kbps or more the difference is inaudible for most listeners.
Can I convert a video to audio?
Yes. Drop an MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM or AVI file and the converter extracts its soundtrack into the format you choose.
Is the conversion private?
Yes. The audio engine runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
Why is the first conversion slow to start?
