    Frequently asked questions

    Does trimming lose quality?

Not when you keep the original format without fades: the audio stream is copied bit for bit. Fades and format changes re-encode the clip once, at 192 kbps for lossy formats.

How do I make a ringtone?

Trim the part you want, roughly 30 seconds, tick the fades, and export as MP3 (Android) or M4A through the converter afterwards for iPhone.

Can I cut the sound out of a video?

Yes. Drop the video, set the times, and you get an audio clip of that range.

    Is trimming private?

Yes. The cut happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded.
